Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum

The Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum is located in Accra opposite to the Old Parliament House. It is the last resting place of the first President of Ghana, and a famous pan-Africanist. When Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana's premier president, had died in Bucharest, Romania, his body was sent to Guinea to be buried there.

The Independence Square

The Independence Square is located close to the conference venue. It is the venue for many national celebrations, featuring the Independence Arch and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier.
